Helpdesk Technician - 3696

MSI is searching for a qualified candidate to fill an open role as a helpdesk technician in Richmond, VA for one of our clients. 


Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming Help Desk tickets related to computer systems, software, and hardware
  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software as needed
  • Install computer peripherals for users
  • Follow up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved
  • User management and security in Active Directory
  • Utilize and maintain the Help Desk software
  • Documentation of internal procedures
  • Maintain inventory of all computer equipment, software, and software licenses
  • Assist with onboarding of new users
  • Configure new workstations, peripheral equipment and software

Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform general Windows and PC work, including installation, upgrades, email.  Skills to include upgrades and maintenance of hardware, operating systems, LAN/WAN, DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP
  • SQL filter experience in a Citrix environment
  • Proficiency with Windows 7 is a must
  • Ability to troubleshoot effectively
  • Must be able to learn and support new and fast-changing technologies.

Preferred:

  • Experience working for an insurance company is a plus.
  • Needs to be able to read / understand basic SQL code.
