Network Virtualization Engineer - 3664

MSI is seeking a senior network virtualization engineer to be responsible for the design, implementation & ongoing support of virtualized network capabilities within UVA's public and private cloud environment, supporting automated and custom builds in the environment. The individual in this role will be the connection point between the datacenter networking, virtualization and cloud teams with the primary goal of virtualizing network functions to enable fully secured & automated server deployments.  

Required Experience

Experience configuring VMware ESXi hosts & network connection 

Experience with VMware PowerCLI, Orchestration & Automation 

Experience with VMware NSX software defined network configuration 

Experience with Amazon VPC routing, configuration and troubleshooting 

Broad general network engineering experience - Route, Switch, Firewall, Load balancing & IPAM (DNS,DHCP,infoblox), SNAT/DNAT, netflow

Required Skills

Ability to collaborate with a team working across multiple sites 
Ability to span and focus on multiple projects, without requiring micro management 
Ability to analyze requirements delivered by system and application administrators and develop a management strategy 
Ability to troubleshoot incidents that combines multiple technologies in a complex configuration 
Ability to mine performance and capacity data from various sources and formulate valuable analysis 
Ability to efficiently prioritize and organize competing work demands 
Excellent documentation, communication and interpersonal skills
