Network Technician III - 3612

MSI is seeking a highly motivated, best-in-class Network Technician III.

. The candidate will work with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the expansion of our next-generation networks.

The Network Technician III will have responsibilities including developing and documenting technical standards in support of scaling initiatives, analyzing team metrics and KPI and producing reports for senior management, and collaborating with partner organizations to address technical issues that affect the company. The work you produce will be global in scope and application, thus the position will require occasional travel across the team’s global footprint. You will be expected to work closely with both internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth program execution, as directed by management.

· Strong communication skills and a track record for successful collaboration
· Minimum of 3 years of work experience in datacenter networking environments
· 2-3 years of experience implementing IP networking solutions
· Broad understanding of network infrastructure technologies
· Experience applying Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methods
· Ability to work closely with our Network Engineering & Network Technical Project Manager teams to ensure fast, smooth rollout of new designs and products
· Knowledge of network cabling and standard optic types
· Able to manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflow
· Participate in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware


· Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
· 2-3 years’ experience designing, implementing, and supporting Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or 3-5 years equivalent experience in the Information Technology industry
Other Qualifications & Responsibilities
· Experience dealing with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure · Effective prioritization and time management
· Limited (up to 20%) travel
Physical requirements
· The ability to sit in front of computer for entire scheduled 8-hour shift with appropriate breaks while maintaining a high level of alertness and attention to detail.
· Ability to move and lift computer equipment up to 35lbs
