Business Process Analyst - 3595

MSI is seeking a Business Process Analyst to support our government client in Washington, DC. 


Job Description:

The successful candidate will work with cross-functional team of users and customers to document and strategize for process improvements for current business processes. Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform analysis of business, functional, and technical activities and events
  • Conduct research on special areas
  • Propose new solutions to problems in areas of functional expertise
  • Identify and capture all lessons learned, best practices, and information gained through performance of tasks, including during critical failures or outages
  • Work with Project Manager to deliver lessons learned to COR in agreed upon format
  • Present recommendations for enhancing the security and functionality of the implemented and integrated solution following implementation and integration activities
  • Develop and oversee disaster recovery and continuity of operations
  • Support annual tabletop disaster recovery and back up plans
  • Develop and oversee the Model Deployment Plan
  • Develop and oversee the Monitoring and Maintenance Plan, which shall specify and address how the deployed results are maintained

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline
  • At least 10 years of experience overseeing analysis of business, functional, technical, activities, and events to drive business process improvements
  • Experience and deep knowledge of business, functional and technical areas/disciplines
  • Experience with proposing new solutions to problems in the areas of their functional expertise
  • Must be able to work and analyze both independently and as part of a team
  • Self-starter that can work under general direction in a highly collaborative, team based environment
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Most be able to obtain Position of Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous Department of Veterans Affairs experience
  • IBM Rational toolset experience
  • Section 508 compliance experience
