Application Analyst/Architect - 3565

MSI is seeking a mid-level Application Analyst/Solution Architect to support our government client in Alexandria, Va. This candidate must have an Active Secret clearance to be eligible.


Key Role:

  • Support the development of decision making tools to identify recommendations that deliver gains in efficiency related to applications, processes, or resources.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional development team to perform research, modeling, and analysis of technology resources.
  • Apply analytical techniques that recommend technical solutions to help the organization achieve its objectives.
  • Lead technical workshops, decision meetings, collaborative sessions and executive briefings related to a wide-range of IT topics.
  • Manage the delivery of high quality work products including the development and maintenance of project schedules and resources.
  • Develop white papers and marketing material.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active Secret clearance.
  • 5-7 years in IT/technology and/or architecture design in the DoD environment.
  • At least 2-3 years performing analysis of systems and/or business processes.
  • 2+ years’ experience leading teams and managing efforts (e.g. estimating level of effort, developing project schedules, management of high-quality deliverables, etc.).
  • Ability to analyze workflows, business processes, application/system architecture, and perform Ad hoc analysis.
  • Possess exceptional business communication and interfacing skills to conceptualize technology implementations in terms of business outcomes.
  • Exceptional presentation skills and previous experience presenting complex information to non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mathematics or Computer Science.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in application rationalization and/or cloud migration.
  • Previous experience with Enterprise Architecture and/or building Enterprise Transformation Plans or Roadmaps for federal clients.
  • Familiarity with quantitative analysis techniques including statistical analysis, mathematical modeling and optimization programming.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel sufficient to create and maintain macro-enabled spreadsheet tools and manipulate data (e.g. VBA).
