Job Summary

Provide detailed project management for multiple projects of varying size and complexity from a technology standpoint that are part of capitally funded Architecture & Construction project. The A&C projects that candidate will be part of will include existing facilities, medical practices and general office space renovations and expansions. In addition, the candidate will be part of the construction of new medical practices and general office space.

Essential Functions

  • Acts as Information & Analytic Services (IAS) primary contact with internal and external customers, vendors, general contractors as well as CHS senior leadership.
  • Coordinates project requirements and schedules with other IAS Teams as well as external vendors.
  • Develop IAS specific capital budgets for submission and inclusion in total capital project budget.
  • Evaluate and develop high-level IAS specific budgets for use when evaluating potential future projects.
  • Reads, interprets, analyzes and critiques design construction drawings and specifications as they relate to IAS infrastructure.
  • Produce detailed markup plans showing low voltage cabling requirements for data/telecom needs, nurse call equipment, televisions and video conferencing using
  • Autodesk Design Review.
  • Understand basic networking/telecom infrastructure.
  • Schedule and lead project related kick-off meetings with internal and external customers.
  • Maintains project status and updates on workflow, budget and schedule and provides updates to leadership.
  • Understands capital budgeting process and be able to develop and execute a projection time and within budget.
  • For IAS budgets over $500k, candidate will be required to prepare scope summary documentation and present to Senior IAS Leadership as well as answer and follow-up with any questions as they relate to the project scope, budget or schedule.
  • Manage new technology installations for network/telecom infrastructure, desktop hardware and applications once a facility, practice or office space is ready. For larger medical office buildings, candidate will be managing the installations for several practices at once and will require constant communication with all IAS teams and external vendors that are involved regarding and last minute schedule changes.
  • Travel to project sites for reoccurring construction meetings and site progress walkthroughs.

Physical Requirements

Work is subject to high-level visibility through exposure to our Client’s senior administration. Requires a high degree of proficiency in verbal and written communications. This position requires evenings and weekend hours at times for project installations, practice & department moves and new practice startups, due to various construction schedules. Will require travel to project sites across our Client’s footprint in North and South Carolina (Use of personal vehicle required and must have valid driver’s license). Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Education, Experience and Certifications

High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or job related field preferred. Prior experience with construction related projects, large technology deployments and existing project management skills preferred.
