Business Systems/Reporting Analyst - 3520

Metro Systems is seeking a Business Systems/Reporting Analyst to act as the primary consultant between various business units in order to review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs. The individual will document requirements, define scope and objectives, and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies.  Will be responsible for data administration, data consolidation, data analysis and management reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with multiple divisions and internal business partners to gather and meet business and data requirements.
  • Maintain technical documentation of solution and process documentation
  • Manage requirements process for projects. Managing requirement sessions, elicitation of requirements, documentation of business and functional requirements, and facilitate review and approval of requirements.
  • Develop and solicit approval of SDLC documentation, and act as the subject matter expert for business partners on SDLC process.
  • Manages the change control process for assigned projects.
  • Create reporting and queries as needed based on business requirements elicited.
  • Independently complete reports using existing tools.
  • Assist with defect resolution during the QA & UAT phase of assigned projects.
  • Support the project team during the rollout of assigned projects to production.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Business Analysis experience with a focus on supporting projects related to process improvements.
  • Proficient in SQL and SQL Server: ability to develop needed reporting by utilizing database queries and then turning it into an easily accessible format for business user.
  • PC Skills: Microsoft Windows, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems or related discipline.
