Software Engineer - 3420

Key Role:
Apply software development knowledge to supporting the development and deployment of software solutions onto client enterprise infrastructure. Design and develop mission and enterprise applications for both infrastructure management and end-user workstation deployment. Leverage knowledge of modern application development practices, including DevOps, continuous integration, and continuous delivery to create rich and responsive user experiences and satisfying security considerations, including application runtime isolation and data encryption. Apply knowledge of systems engineering, including how to use software deployment strategies to facilitate the automated deployment and updating of software to user-bases. Apply knowledge of the software and systems development life cycle, including how to use requirements, design, implementation, and deployment to create solutions. Work both independently and in a team setting to research and analyze solutions in accordance with stakeholder and end user expectations or requirements. Leverage the ability to build excellent client relationships and thrive in a client site environment. This position is located in Herndon, VA.


Basic Qualifications:
-6+ years of experience with multiple programming languages, including C, C++, C#/.NET, Java, JavaScript, Objective C/Swift, Python, or Ruby
-Experience with application development frameworks, including Microsoft .NET, Java Frameworks, including Spring and Hibernate, or JavaScript Frameworks, including AngularJS and NodeJS
-Experience with all phases of the software development life cycle, including development, testing, and deployment
-Experience with Agile development methodologies
-Experience with system engineering or administration, including centralized software deployment to Windows and Linux platforms or workstations
-Experience with systems engineering administration scripting languages for automation, including Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Ruby
-Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
-BA or BS degree in CS, Engineering, or Information Systems

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience in working with and troubleshooting a range of database and data persistence technologies
-Ability to create development artifacts, including requirements and design documents
-Ability to develop and maintain client relationships and identify stakeholder requirements and expectations
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-MA or MS degree in CS, Engineering, or Information Systems
