Information Systems Technician - 2877

•Provides installation; maintenance and troubleshooting support of information systems applications and related peripheral hardware.

•Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques.

•Installs and configures applications software and related hardware (such as desktops; servers; and related peripherals like printers; scanners; drives; monitors and video teleconferencing hardware).

•Provides software and system troubleshooting and support.

•Provides technical support and training to end-users.

•May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced technicians.

•Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

•Participates in special projects as required.

Unique Qualifications:

  • Hands on Computer/Printer/Copier set up and support Desktop Services
  • Installs and maintains various models of thick client and thin client workstations; monitors; keyboards; mice; KVM switch boxes; printers; and scanners; as well as all associated cabling.
  • Works with Active Directory in maintaining and servicing of user accounts.
  • Configures and hardens printers both remotely and through touch maintenance.
  • Works directly with customers requesting service; including high level senior leadership customers.
  • Works with electronic ticketing system to manage and document customer service requests.
  • Provides initial set-up of IT equipment for office spaces as well as office IT equipment relocations.
  • Provides Tier 2 support and employs best practice troubleshooting skills in maintaining all equipment and specified above; as well as a multitude of applications to include the full MS Office Suite; among others.
  • Operates within the SCCM ConfigMgmt Console to deploy baselined OS and software as well as to maintain Group Policy.
  • Works to deploy and maintain iPhones; pagers; and other manner of Personal Communication Devices to ensure mobile capabilities for customer.
